Childers offers a range of eateries including a la carte dining, sidewalk cafes, traditional pub counter lunches and takeaway foods.

And if you want to go a bit further afield and fancy a really good steak you can try the Apple Tree Creek Hotel.

Those staying at Woodgate Beach have the option of the Woodgate Beach Hotel, the Woodgate Club, The Serenity Cove Cafe, Woodgate Caravan Park or the Woodgate General store for takeaway food.

There is a Chinese restaurant, a Vietnamese restaurant, the four hotels, the Isis Club, the RSL Club and the Caltex Roadhouse all of which offer a la carte dining at reasonable prices.

There are five cafes in Childers plus the Childers Bakery also offers pastries and a cup of tea or coffee.

The two restaurants, the Caltex Roadhouse, two of the cafes, one of the bakeries, Grasshoppers & a Subway store offer a diverse range of options for takeaway food.

If you have the time, and came prepared, there are free electric BBQ’s at both Woodgate Beach & Buxton. If you aren’t inclined to cook, then a delicious hot chook from Childers FoodWorks plus some hot chips from one of the takeaways is a cheap family meal option.
